Phylis and I became friends during our Junior year and continued our friendship after graduation.  Little did I know that our friendship was going to be cut so short nor did I understand the incidious disease in whch she endured ~ she never complained!!  I thinking about her from time to time and wonder what her life could have been.  Phylis, you were so special and you didn't even know it!!!  Laura

I met Phylis when I went to Howard school in the 7th grade.  She was great fun to be around.  She gave me my bridal shower in her home and was a bridesmaid in my wedding.   I miss her.

I guess we all miss her. Why this terrible disease struck her is a mystery to this day. We were such good friends, and when she moved to NY, we became pretty close. She would visit me in Levittown, Pennsylvania and we would from time to time join her in New York. She was so sick but she carried on through all her surgeries with that dry wit that we all enjoyed.

I miss her to this day. I tell friends about my friend who had such amazing courage! I wonder if any of us would have been that strong.

Hope you're resting in peace, Phylis.

I really have a very fond memory of Phylis.  The reunion of 85. I had the the honor of dancing with her from the begining to the last dance of the evening, most of which, we never left the dance floor.  I didn't know at the time of her illness, but it wasn't long after that, I had heard she left us for a better world.  A very kind and wonderful lady.smiley

Yes, Phyllis was a very special person.  Many miss her.  It brings me back to a couple of great friends of mine also.  One in particular, Jackie Gustafson) who left us way too soon.  She was always the "life of the party" & little did we know how she was suffering inside.  Also, Kathy Flanigan, who we lost just a few years ago.  She was a beautiful person.
