Looking through the photos it looked like all had a good time.. I got a knew knee yesterday (went well) and turned out it's a good time to be home bound with this heat.for cast for next 10 days looking to be 100 plus..

Hey Sam,this is Dusty;Just a comment on your new knee,be cautious of infection!!!!  I had a new hip on April 6,after 10 weeks everything was great and I was almost done with therepy then somehow I got an infection in the hip,had to have surgery right away,they removed the new hip,removed excess fluids and stuff then installed a new hip, back to square one in recovery,plus I have 6 weeks of daily antibiotic infusions at the hospital that take about 1-1/2 hour each and 2 antibiotic pills a day,then I'll be on antibiotic pills for 6 months🥴🥴 when the infusions are done!!       Good luck on your knee!!!🥴🥴🥴.       Dusty

Yes Dusty. Sorry to hear you had problems with the hip. Praying I don't have any ..I had several  antibacterial shower before surgery and a wipe down before surgery to help stop chance, they are very concerned about infection here  not even aloud to go to a Dentist for 6 months. Even my five year colonoscopy is canceled or postponed.. , and I get a second knee later this year so 6 months after that for anything else..

The pictures of the class looks good, wish I could have been there. So far this year has not been good, my brother Robert Berryman  pased taway on 07-01 2023 from lung cancer. If you remmber him, he and a about 20 other's formed the Quen City Cams..You can see the info at the Marquette Historical Museum.. Then on July 4th 2023 . Myself, my wife, daughter, and my son-in-law were in a accident.. A van crossed over the center line. causing us to roll over a few times into a drainage ditch . I was unconscious, did not remmber that much,was air flighted to Penrose in Colorado Springs Co .With a Concussion, with bleeding on the brain ,spent 4 day's in ICU then some good friends in our Deer Valley Estates gave me a ride home. a 6 hour ride. I am seeing double I will see a doctor this friday to see if bleeding in the brain has stopped. then on to rehab,went to an  eye doctor everyting look good so it has to be in the brain for the double vision. I was working two jobs to keep active. it sucks to sit at home..and not be able to do anything

They will hold a service for my brother on 08 -05-2023 if i can make that i will try to get to the U.P. and maybe have breakfast at the BIG BOY . Will keep in touch.

Great pictures of the picnic. Enjoyed them, wish I could have attended. But I had grandson graduation party and I also had all 4 of my children and 9 of my grandchildren. This is only the 2nd time I was able to have 100% of my family.

Wow, Rich, you and your family really dodged a bullet on that one.  Thank goodness for seat belts, right?  Any chance the other driver was impaired or distracted?  I like driving in the UP except for the one thing that happened to you - someone crossing over the center line.  Keep us posted on your recovery.

Hello fellow class pals, as the group broke up after Picnic a folding chair was left, it looked like a bit of memorabilia with the logo of Public Service Garage. Looked like it might date back to date of the time when the garage was on corner of Bluff and Front, or maybe on Wash. and Fourth. 
  Would like to return it to its owner. Not sure exactly when that would happen but hey, well do the best we can under the circumstances.

Mr. Pangrazzi died on February 17th.  He was my homeroom teacher.  I'm sure many of you have memories of him.  How about sharing some of those!

My first contact with Jerry Pangrazzi was when he came back from serving over seas and became my elementary “gym” teacher, what a great guy! Next was in high school, he was the first to tell me that President Kennedy had been shot. Another time joking around I offered a bribe for a better grade, I pulled out a fifty, it appeared like he had not seen too many fifty dollar bills. In about 1981 my mother had open heart surgery as did a relative of Jerry's, we talked in the elevator at Marquette General. My dad used to get HS basketball playoff tickets through the high school, as did Jerry, we sat next to each other at the High School basketball finals at Chrysler Arena. Again I can’t say it enough, what a great guy!

It's been a very long time since I have been on this forum.  No excuses!!!  Very nice to read about some of our classmates and sorry to read about those who have left us.  As I approach my 77th birthday I look back with fond memories of our years together.  I am amazed at how well we worked through those 1/2 days and the years after H.S.

My wife {Kathy} and I still live in Washington state and Arizona.  We spend 6 months in each place.  If I was told 50+ years ago I would own 2 homes I would Have told them they were nuts.  When we bought the AZ house I did the amazing thing of "buying low"!  Usually its the other way around.

I haven't made any reunions in quite some time but Lord willing I will make it to the 60th.  My accident before the 50th sindelined me for a while but I have recovered quite well from it.  My dog and I walk about 1 to 2 hours a day and Believe it or not my weight is stable at 200 Lbs.  Most of you will remember I had a hard time making 135 lbs. 

Since I have nor responded on this site in a long time I promise I will try to take the time to monitor it and add some words of "wisdom".

Chuck, Mr Pangrazzi was also the first person to tell me that President Kennedy had been shot. That year I had him for a study hall in Kauffman Auditorium so we used to joke around a bit and I first thought he was joking. But he immediately let me know he was serious. I had quite a nice visit with him at our 50th. I was impressed that he and his wife had driven from Iron River (I believe).  They ended up driving around campus for a while since the mixer was at Hedgecock and it's changed so much around there. It was so nice meeting some of our former teachers again. We sure had a lot of good teachers who were/are very nice people too. 
And it's nice to hear from you Mike (my first boyfriend 😉).  We spend a few winter months in Florida. I'm still a water girl, Superior in the summer and Atlantic in the winter. Happy to hear you're doing well and hope we all make it to a 60th.

   Haven't been on for some time. There is someone running for office and getting a petition signed to have our logo re-instated at the school!!! I was the second to sign, gave the rest of the "T" shirts and a short history of the logo history. She is going to post it on facebook. It's time to put these "liberal" clowns out to pasture! 

   They were VERY happy to recieve the shirts and while I was there, a couple went to people. She is going to have more made. I gave her free access to as many as she wants to make.

Our summer picnic on July 19^th at the Marquette Commons was a big success.  We had 35 MSHS classmates/spouses attend and 3 from Baraga. Bob Hogg, husband of Sue Blemberg who was unable to attend, also stopped by. The weather was perfect and, as usual, the camaraderie made it another fun class event.

Classmate Jackie Hassel is recovering from surgery.  She just had a vein transplant in her leg to bypass blockages and during surgery suffered a minor stroke (she had a major stroke several years ago). She's in a rehab facility in Lansing and doing well. She'll be there until November 20th and then will continue rehab at home. 

Jackie wants to wish her classmates a happy Thanksgiving and upcoming holiday season and looks forward to being at the 60th reunion next summer. We wish her a speedy recovery.
